How did the Seven Dwarfs get their names?

The seven dwarfs were named based on an initial list of 47 names that was refined by the time that "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was released in 1937. The production took 5 years and cost over 1.5 million dollars, notes BuzzFeed. Some of the rejected names on the list included Awful, Baldy, Dizzy, Hungry, Hickey and Dirty.

Over 570 animators worked on the film, and the final renderings of the Seven Dwarfs took 2 years alone to complete. The eyebrows on Bashful, Dopey, Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc and Sneezy were modeled after Walt Disney, and the seventh dwarf, Happy, is the lone exception, being drawn with white facial hair instead of black.
