What is Biscoff spread?

Biscoff spread is a spread made from Biscoff cookies that is used as an alternative to chocolate spreads and nut butters. It can be eaten straight from the jar, but is often added to sandwiches, toast or apples.

Biscoff spread does not contain artificial ingredients, preservatives or nuts. It is made with wheat flour, sugar and vegetable oils and is seasoned with cinnamon and salt.

Biscoff spread originated in Belgium and first appeared on the Belgian television show “The Inventors.” Els Scheppers created a recipe that converted Biscoff cookies into a spreadable butter. The spread was introduced to the United States in 2011 and is available in creamy or crunchy.
