How do you open the Polaroid SX-70?

To open the Polaroid SX-70 camera, hold the camera in your palm, lift the small end of the cap and pull straight up. The SX-70 is a folding-style camera that is opened for use and closed for more convenient storage.

1. Hold the camera in your palm

   Grip the camera in your palm firmly.

2. Lift the cap

   Lift the small end of the viewfinder cap using your other hand.

3. Pull up

   Pull the viewfinder cap straight up until the cover support locks. Once opened, the viewfinder, lens and other parts necessary for operation are exposed. To close, push the support back and push down on the viewfinder cap.
