As of 2015, the Holland Mold Company has operated since 1946, after its founding by an Austrian Immigrant named Frank Hollendonner. The company was founded in Trenton, New Jersey and Frank's brother Rudy was his original partner.
Early on, the Holland Mold Company specialized in molds for homecrafters, which it originally made out of ceramics. Many currently used ceramic designs can still be found with the Holland Mold mark. Since the 1980s, the company has specialized primarily in rubber master molds. In 1997, due to an increasingly competitive market, the Hollendonner family sold the company after 51 years of ownership.
