What is a Wii Points card?

Wii Points cards, or Nintendo Points cards, are used to purchase Wii games and apps through the Wii Shop Channel. The cards are available for purchase at retail stores.

Nintendo Points are a form of currency that players can use to purchase various content on Nintendo consoles, such as the Wii or Nintendo 3DS. To redeem the points on a Wii Points card, go to the Wii Shop Channel, choose the "Redeem Nintendo Points Card" option and enter the numbers found on the back of the card. The points redeemed remain available on the Wii Shop Channel until they are used or transferred to another system. Wii users can also add points to the Wii Shop Channel with a credit card rather than purchasing a Points Card.
