Is shedding normal for the Vizslas breed?

Shedding is completely normal for the Vizsla breed. This dog sheds its coat biannually in the spring and fall. Vizslas have short hair, however, so the shedding is not generally a significant problem as long as the pet is well-groomed.
The Vizsla originally comes from Hungary and is an active breed that loves to hunt with its owner. Perhaps the most notable physical characteristics of this breed are its rust-colored coat and long, floppy ears. Vizslas have a muscular build and typically stand about 21 to 24 inches high. They have an easy-going temperament, accept training well and enjoy being around humans.
