Is The Rock black?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is of mixed Samoan and African-Canadian descent. Johnson was born in Hayward, CA, on May 2, 1972. Between 1996 and 2004, Johnson was active as a wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation and became well known under his ring name, "The Rock."

Aside from his career in wrestling, Johnson also acted in various Hollywood movies. One of his first major roles came in 2002, when he was cast as the lead actor in the movie "The Scorpion King." As of 2014, he has also starred in "Planet 51," "Get Smart," "Race to Witch Mountain" and "Fast Five."
