What are some Chevrolet diagnostic trouble codes?

P0606 and P1814 are two Chevrolet diagnostic trouble codes. Whereas the former indicates a power train control module processor fault, the latter indicates that the torque control is overstressed.

Chevrolet diagnostic codes also indicate the nature of the problem. The first letter of the code indicates the part of the vehicle that is faulty. P stands for power train, C stands for chassis, B stands for body and U stands for network communication problems. The second digit of the trouble code indicates whether or not the trouble code is unique to the vehicle.

The third digit indicates the faulty system. For instance, 3 indicates a problem with the ignition system and 6 indicates a problem with the computer output circuit. The last two digits describe the specific problem.
