What is Movember?

Movember is an annual event occurring in November that was started to raise awareness for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, and raise money for associated charities. To participate, men begin the month of November clean-shaven and grow a moustache until the month ends.

The term Movember comes from combining the words moustache and November. While men (also called Mo Bros) participate by growing a moustache, women (also known as Mo Sistas) can also get involved by participating in fundraising and supporting the men in their lives. The goal of Movember is to promote early cancer detection in men and to decrease the number of preventable deaths.
