On July 8, 1999, Tevin Campbell was arrested during a police sting in Los Angeles, California. Campbell had solicited a male undercover police officer to perform a sex act. In addition to paying a fine, he was ordered to participate in an AIDS awareness class and attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings as part of his sentence.
