Founded in 2003, Wounded Warrior Project is a 501(c)(3) charity that accepts donations to help service members injured in the line of duty. The project makes backpacks with comfort items for wounded soldiers who require hospitalization. Money is also used for approximately 20 programs that help injured service members and their families. Donations can be one-time, or monthly donations can be made as part of the Advance Guard monthly giving program. The Advance Guard program requires a $19 donation each month, as of 2015.
