The Spinning Jenny was created by James Hargreaves, and named after his wife. His machine was an answer to the increase in demand from weavers. The demand had increased when John Kay created the flying shuttle and basically doubled the amount of work they could put out. The Spinning Jenny was the first improvement on the spinning wheel since its invention. The machine was one of the early examples of what is referred to as the mechanical advantage, showing how much work can be accomplished by machines versus man.

The Second Bank of the United States was created after the War of 1812. Many Americans felt the bank's lending policies favored Northerners instead of people living in the South and West. The bank's charter was supposed to last until 1836, but Daniel Webster and Henry Clay convinced the bank's president to apply for early renewal of the charter. President Jackson was one of the most vocal opponents of the bank because he felt its policies were elitist. His veto of this bill helped him win re-election in 1832.

You could begin by asking the veteran what his position was in the Vietnam War, and eventually ask more specific questions about his involvement with Agent Orange. It may be also useful to find a comfortable location, away from sudden noises, for the interview to manage potential PTSD symptoms. As this is a sensitive topic, you can frequently check in with the veteran and ask if he is comfortable with the questions.
