To make a dartboard, the sisal fibers are cleaned and then wound into 3-inch diameter tubes, which are then cut into one-inch wafers. Some 51 to 52 of these wafers are then squeezed together using immense pressure to create the perfect circle, which will later become the dartboard. Glue will be applied to the base sisal board, and holding pins will be mechanically inserted into the board. The dartboard is smoothed out with a power sander and silkscreen-painted. Finally, the wires for the triples and doubles, as well as the numbers are installed.
