A matrix chart can be illustrated with several different shapes, such as the L, T, Y, C, X and roof-shaped charts. They connect groups of information with color codes, while a legend distinguishes each group from the others. The matrix chart's purpose is to show order of importance between groups, how groups interact or are related, roles or duties of each group, strengths and weaknesses of each component and relevant measurements of each group.
How many radians are in a circle?

A radian is the measure of the central angle of a circle that forms an arc equal in length to the radius of the circle. In other words, if the length of the radius is wrapped around the edge of a circle, the central angle that generates that arc measures one radian. In calculus and most other forms of higher mathematics, angles are nearly always measured in radians rather than degrees.

As an example, when multiplying 23 by 3, once the numbers are lined up the two equations are 3 times 3 for the ones value and 3 times 2 for the tens value. The first equation gives an answer of 9, while the second results in 6. However, the 6 is actually 60 because it is the answer from the tens column. Once this is done, 6 and 9 can be joined together to make 69.
What are the multiples of seven?

Integers in multiplication can be referred to as either factors or multiples depending on their use in an equation. For example, 7 * 8 = 56, so 56 is a multiple of both 7 and 8. Therefore, 7 and 8 are factors of 56, meaning that they can be multiplied together to achieve that result.\nA number is only considered the factor of another if it can be multiplied by an integer to achieve that other number. Therefore, even though 7 * 0.25 = 1.4, 7 is not a factor of 1.4, because neither 0.25 nor 1.4 is an integer. All of the multiples of 7 can be defined as 7 * a, where a is a positive integer greate..

Polygons with 3 to 12 sides, excluding 9 and 11, have commonly used names. A 3-sided polygon is a triangle, and a 4-sided polygon is a quadrilateral. A 5-sided polygon is a pentagon, and a polygon with 7 sides is a heptagon. A polygon with 8 sides is known as an octagon, and a 10-sided polygon is a decagon, while a 12-sided polygon is a dodecagon. The names of polygons with more than 12 sides exist but are less commonly used.

Perfect squares occur when a positive number is multiplied by itself. When deriving a square root from a perfect square, it results in the original number; for example, 3 x 3 = 9. The square root of 9 is 3, therefore, it is a perfect square. Square roots that have fraction or decimal points are not perfect squares and they are harder to obtain. Square roots are derived from handwritten methods, but most calculators have a square root function.

Each row in an array must have the same number of units as the row before it, as well as the same number of columns. This makes it easier to remove and add parts of the total array when determining larger products. For example, a basic array to find the factors of 20 could feature four groups of five or two groups of 10.\nA larger array could be used to find the product of 12 and 17. Rather than count each dot, the array could be subdivided into a 10x10, 10x7, 2x10 and 2x7 set. Finding the products of each of these yields 100, 70, 20, and 14. Adding the results yields 204.\nAnother example inv..

The factors of a number of interest refer to all the numbers that are smaller or equal to the number of interest that can be divided into it evenly. This means that there is no remainder left after the division. The opposite of a factor is a multiple, which refers to numbers obtained by multiplying a number of interest by integers. For example, the number 3 has multiples of 6, 9, 126 and many more.

To convert a mixed number to an improper fraction, put the whole number in terms of the accompanying fraction and add it to the fraction component of the mixed number. For example, the mixed number 4 1/2 becomes 9/2 when expressed as an improper fraction, because 4 is equal to 8/2, which becomes 9/2 when the 1/2 from the mixed number is added.

Galileo developed the equations by hypothesizing that two forces affect a launched projectile. The law of gravity affects its vertical elevation. Under this law, any projectile in flight is pulled toward the earth at a rate of 9.8 meters per second. Inertia impacts the horizontal distance traveled. By calculating the two motions working together, he discovered that they create a precise mathematical curve. The geometric shape called a parabola demonstrates the curve.\nParabolas are symmetrical, so the path to the apex is a mirror of the path back to earth. This means that a projectile launched..
