A 1040EZ form is a form used for filing income taxes with the federal government. It is the simplest of the three income-tax forms available. There are restrictions on who can use the form.
The 1040EZ form limits the number of deductions that people can claim. As of 2014, to qualify for filing a 1040EZ form, the taxpayer must have earned less than $100,000 dollars during the fiscal year. Taxpayers cannot claim dependents on this form. Both individuals and married couples filing jointly are able to use the 1040EZ form as long as their combined income doesn't exceed the $100,000 limit.
