By Forinfos - 22/02/2026 - 0 comments
1847 Roger Bros First Love, produced in 1937, is a pattern of silver-plated flatware and serving pieces. In 1840, electroplating silver over a lesser metal became a popular trend. In 1847, the Roger brothers perfected the technique and marked their product with their name.
The Roger Bros company was acquired by International Silver, and the 1847 trademark was used by the company as early as 1852. Other popular patterns by the Roger Bros are the Columbia (1893), the Vintage (1940), the Charter Oak (1906) and the Daffodil (1950). The 1847 trademark is still in use today by the successor to the International Silver Company.
