How do you access My Documents in Windows?

To access the My Documents folder on Windows, click the Start button and select My Documents. This only applies to Windows XP and previous versions. For the latest versions, the Documents folder has replaced the My Documents folder.
On Windows XP, click the Start button on the bottom left of the desktop to display a number of programs. Click on My Documents and the folder containing the files opens for you. On Windows 7, click the Start button and select Documents. On Windows 8, enter File Explorer in the search box and then tap or click File Explorer. You can also use the swipe option to open File Explorer on Windows 8.
