Will acid cleaners "etch" Corian kitchen counter tops?
By Forinfos - 19/08/2025 - 0 comments
Acids can eat away or "etch" the surface of stone counter tops, including Corian kitchen counter tops. Acidic or alkaline cleaning solvents can also dull the surface of counter tops and should be avoided.
Most spills, dirt and other residue on Corian counter tops can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Window cleaners should not be used, as they can leave a film behind on the counter that can build up and dull the surface appearance. In order to disinfect Corian counter tops, diluted household bleach can be used on the surface; however, the surface of the counter top should be rinsed and completely dried afterward. Deep Cleaner for DuPont Corian from Stone Care can be sprayed on tougher stains and spills.
