Historians still debate to this day the reason for Adolf Hitler's anti-Semitism. Some believe he was furious at a Jewish doctor who let his mother die of breast cancer near the end of 1908. Others point out that his grandfather was of unknown decent and could have possibly been Jewish. However, after Hitler's mother died, he spent four years living on the streets of Vienna, drawing postcards to make money. Vienna was a historically anti-Semitic city, and historians say he could have picked up those beliefs there.
