The advantages of using self-adhesive resin cements for dental crowns are that the cements are fast and easy to apply, have low solubility and high compressive strength, according to Dental Economics. Dentists do not need any exclusive skills for applying the cements.
Curing the resin excess for two seconds and then removing it makes the final cleanup much easier. Examples of self-adhesive resin cements are RelyX Unicem, Embrace and Monocem.
Due to the fact that applying self-adhesive resin cements to dental crowns is a short procedure, they are recommended by the National Center for Biotechnology Information for patients who are difficult to handle.
