What age do puppies have to be to get the 7 in 1 shot?

A puppy receives a 7 in 1 shot at 6 weeks of age. The vaccination is a two-step process, with the second vaccination occurring at 9 weeks. A yearly re-vaccination is recommended.
The 7 in 1 vaccination provides protection against serious health risks, including distemper, hepatitis and parvo virus which are often fatal. It also protects against leptospirosis, which contains two types of bacteria that are picked up in rivers and stagnant water or are transmitted by rats. Leptospirosis causes blood disorders, liver and kidney failure and may be transmitted to humans. The vaccination also helps prevent kennel cough syndrome and a virus that causes haemorrhagic gastroenteritis.
