Depending on the aide provider, home health aides may visit as often as recommended by a doctor or as often as needed by the patient.
Aides come at different times of the day, depending on the patients needs. The aide may have to come to the home to prepare meals, perform physical therapy or check in on the patient. Aides may be required to care for patients who suffer from physical disabilities, cancer, wounds, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, or those who have just gotten out of surgery. In-home care allows patients to stay in the comfort of their home while receiving the care they need.
