Do airline employees travel for free?
By Forinfos - 13/02/2025 - 0 comments
As of 2015, airline staff, their immediate family and airline retirees are eligible for free or heavily discounted travel. However, certain restrictions apply on most airlines' free travel programs, which can limit the number of locations staff can visit free.
Airline employees who fly free generally do so on a standby basis, which means they can be placed on flights only when the flight is not full or a paying passenger did not show up for departure time. Some carriers also require employees to pay any taxes and fees associated with the ticket even if they do not pay the cost of the airfare itself.
