Is AirPrint an Apple exclusive feature?

While AirPrint is exclusive to Apple in name, wireless printing is not an Apple-only development. Another option is Google Cloud Print, which can be set up by anyone with a Google account and a wireless printer.

Most printers that can work with Apple's AirPrint are capable of using competing services as well. Some computers can simply connect to the WiFi network and the printers are then accessed in that way, without the need to use a secondary service. Other printers can connect using Bluetooth, although that method is not as common as WiFi printing and AirPlay capabilities, as of 2015.
