Amazon's toll free general help number for within the United States 1-888-280-4331, as of 2015. A Call Me option that enables customers to receive a toll free call from a customer representative is also available.

From the menu located at the bottom of the Amazon.com home page, customers can click on the Help option. This opens a page with topic options. Once the topic is chosen, a page opens that includes a Contact Us link. The next step is for the customer to sign in, but there is also a Skip Sign In option. The final page requires the customer to answer two questions and then choose between contacting a representative by email, phone or chat. The toll-free phone number is presented as a phone option.
