Antelope eat grass and other types of vegetation. They live in parts of Asia, Africa and the Americas in wooded areas.

These mammals use their antlers against natural predators such as lions and cheetahs. Compared to deer and elk, antelopes do not grow to be very big. They average around 30 to 40 inches in height, and around 100 to 120 pounds. Antelopes are opportunistic feeders. They forage on shrubs, berries and other types of plants in their environment. Typically, antelopes roam within a 20 to 40 mile radius in order to find fresh sources of foods and to avoid predators.
