Individuals should look out for a blue crown mark in Dresden porcelain. This is one of the most common maker's marks, according to Antique Marks, and many professionals sign their names or establish additional logos underneath the marks.

There were originally four Dresden porcelain companies, which were established between the years 1860 and 1875. They each featured their own take on the blue crown and were registered in the RWZR under different numbers to represent the company's image. Eventually, the four studios went on to produce their own distinct marks that made it easier for collectors and enthusiasts to identify specific articles of porcelain.
