Where do aphids live?

Aphids are found around the world in both temperate and tropical habitats on or near the plants they eat. They favor new plant growth/buds and love to hide in curling leaves.
Aphids feed upon the plants on which they live, sucking juice out of the foliage, stems or roots. Much of the sugar digested from these plants are excreted by the aphids in a fluid called "honeydew." Honeydew attracts many other insects to herbs for food. Once the population of aphids and other insects overwhelm and kill a plant, hormones direct the aphids to develop wings and fly to other nearby greenery.
