Applied Industrial Technologies is an industrial distributor of bearings; power transmissions; hydraulic, pneumatic and linear components; industrial rubber products; and other material-handling products. The company was founded in 1923 by Joseph M. Bruening in Cleveland, Ohio, and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 1965.

As of 2015, the company boasts at least 450 service center locations across North America, Puerto Rico, Australia and New Zealand. Applied Industrial Technologies also has at least 12 strategic distribution centers and 25 specialty repair and rebuild shops. The company provides mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services and offers clients help with storeroom management and maintenance training needs.
