How do you apply gel eyeliner?

To apply gel eyeliner, place an eyeliner brush at the middle of the upper lash line, draw a line to the outer corner, draw a line from the middle to the inner corner, and fill in any gaps. This five-minute process requires gel eyeliner, a mirror and an eyeliner brush.

1. Line the outer half of the eye

   Dip an eyeliner brush into the gel eyeliner, and wipe off the excess on the rim of the jar. Place the point of the brush at the middle of the upper lash line, and slowly draw a thin line to the outer corner.

2. Line the inner half

   Pick up more eyeliner, wipe off the brush, and place it at the middle of the upper lash line. Draw a thin line from the middle to the inner corner.

3. Thicken the line

   Reload the brush, place it at the middle of the upper lashes, and draw a thicker line from there to the outer corner. Thicken the line gradually, so it is thickest at the corner of the eye.

4. Correct mistakes

   Examine your eye in a mirror. If there is an uneven area or exposed skin between the liner and the eyelashes, fill it in.

5. Line your other eye

   Apply gel eyeliner to your other eye in the same way.
