How do you apply for a Tribute credit card?

It is no longer possible to apply for a Tribute Gold MasterCard because it was discontinued after the Federal Trade Commission sued the company for deceptive marketing practices, according to Ask Mr Credit Card. The card marketing company, CompuCredit, settled the suit for $114 million dollars, according to the FTC.

The Tribute Gold MasterCard was marketed to borrowers with sub prime credit. It offered a $300 credit limit to new cardholders while charging a $150 annual fee and a monthly $9.95 maintenance fee, says Ask Mr Credit Card. Although cardholder accounts were closed by court order, some consumers reported continuing monthly charges as late as 2013, reports Credit Card Forum.
