What is the ascending order of fractions?
By Forinfos - 08/04/2025 - 0 comments
The ascending order of a group of fractions refers to putting the terms in order from lowest to greatest. The opposite of ascending is descending, which involves ordering the numbers from greatest to smallest.
In order to put fractions into ascending order, they must first be compared based on size. One way to do this is to compare the numerators directly after making both fractions have a common denominator. This can be done systematically until there are no more fractions in the group. An alternative method is to convert all the fractions to decimals to make comparing by inspection obvious. The numbers can then be converted back to fractions, if desired.
