How do you ask God for a miracle?

In many faiths, asking God for a miracle requires earnest prayer and other acts of submission and devotion. In some denominations of Christianity, pre-scripted prayers exist for asking for a miracle in different situations, such as requests for healing from serious illnesses.

The Catholic "Miracle Prayer" is an example of a pre-scripted request for healing. The prayer honors God and Jesus before asking for forgiveness from sins and healing in body, spirit and soul. The prayer finishes with a final plea for help to Mary, the mother of Jesus.

In some faiths, requests for miracles include asking clergy members to pray on behalf of the person seeking the miracle.
