When was the Avengers 2 movie released?

The second Avengers film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," was released on May 1, 2015. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner. It was written and directed by Joss Whedon.

Domestically, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" had a record opening of $187.7 million. Globally, it made around $627 million within 12 days of the release date. However, box office sales did not surpass those of the first "Avengers" movie.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" introduced three new Avengers. These were Pietro and Wanda Maximoff and Vision, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, respectively.
