The average wage is drawn from a wide range, including a mean wage of $86.88 per hour for chief executives, $55.48 for public relations managers, $36.69 for financial specialists, $33.55 for registered nurses and $36.44 for psychologists. All of the data were gathered from employers in each of the 50 states in 2014.
