A truck driver needs a special commercial driver's license from his/her state, and must have special knowledge of the commercial driving regulations involved in his/her particular field of work. Truck drivers drive both short and long distances, and thus, must know how to maneuver the truck well. Truck drivers haul various goods, including livestock and other materials. Truck drivers must also know how to handle the truck in various weather conditions.
