H. Hargrove is a pseudonym. Born in Palermo in 1941, his real name was Nicolo Sturiano. After graduating from the Wine Institute of Marsala, he arrived to the United States to pursue his chosen vocation. He was hired by a small vineyard in upstate New York, and during this period, he fell in love with the beauty of American landscapes. He started painting the scenery that surrounded him and soon became one of the most prolific painters in American history.
