Azodicarbonamide, also known as azobisformamide and azodiformamide, is a chemical substance with the molecular formula C2H4N4O2, and its molar mass is 116.08 grams per mole. It is a crystalline powder with a yellow to orange and red color. Its melting point is 437 degrees Fahrenheit, where the substance also decomposes.

Azodicarbonamide is used in the food industry as an additive. It is generally recognized as safe for human consumption in the United States; however, it is banned in Australia and Europe. It is labeled with the E number E927 and is used as a dough conditioner and as a flour bleaching agent. It is also used as a blowing agent in the manufacturing of foamed plastics.
