Are there any babies available for adoption?

According to Children’s Rights, as of 2012, there were over 4,000 babies available for adoption. At the Adoption Exchange Association, as of 2014, there are seven children available for adoption under the age of 2. Out of these, there are five females and two males.

These numbers are out of a total of 101,666 children that can be adopted in the U.S. alone. In 2013, there were a total of 7,092 adoptions in the U.S.; the adoptees were predominantly female children under 12. The entire adoption process may take over a year to complete. This time frame varies according to the agency selected and the state that in which the adoptive parent resides.
