A baby iguana is called a hatchling. A male iguana is referred to as a bull, and female is called a cow. The group of eggs laid by a female iguana is called a clutch.
Iguana hatchlings hatch after between 10 to 15 weeks of incubation and look similar in shape and coloring to adult iguanas. They remain with their families in the nest for one year after hatching.
The iguana genus includes two species called the Lesser Antillean iguana and the green iguana, which are distinguished by differences in their coloring. Both species are generally found in forested areas.
