How do you bait a mousetrap without tripping it?
By Forinfos - 04/09/2025 - 0 comments
To avoid tripping the mousetrap while baiting it, place a sticky bait, such as peanut butter, onto the trigger before setting the trap. Tie the bait to the trigger with a string when using nuts or other non-sticky foods.
To bait the trap, place pea-sized amounts of marshmallows, peanut butter or chocolate onto the trigger, and set the trap according to the instructions on the product packaging. When using nuts, raisins or pieces of dry pet food as bait, use a small piece of string or dental floss to tie a pea-sized piece of the bait to the trigger before setting the trap. To avoid accidental injuries, do not attempt to place the bait onto the trigger after setting the trap.
