According to Perfection Events Inc., a banquet event order is a document that details everything a renter needs a facility to know in order to host an event. This covers specifics about the room, the date, the menu and special requests.

A BEO typically identifies the date and time of the event, the name of the room being rented, the fee, the number of anticipated guests, the room set-up and any audio-visual equipment that must be available. If food is to be served, the menu is spelled out as well as how many people are to be served. In addition, any special requests, such as having water and glasses readily available, are identified in the BEO.
