What if the bar code isn't clear on the Frontier boarding pass that printed?

If the bar code on a Frontier boarding pass is not clear, the scanners at the boarding gate may not be able to read it. The passenger may have to go to the gate counter and get the reservation re-verified and a new boarding pass printed.
Bar Coded Boarding Passes, or BCBP, must meet International Air Transport Association, IATA, standards. The bar code is a digitized version of a passenger reservation, printed in 2-D. As of 2010, all boarding passes are required to have bar codes that can be read at check-in, when passing through security and at the gate. The bar code reader immediately registers the passenger as boarded, eliminating paper ticket head-counting mistakes.
