What is an aircast boot?
By Forinfos - 08/05/2026 - 0 comments
An aircast boot is a type of cast that features air cells to help heal foot and ankle injuries. Changing the amount of air within the cells can help to customize the fit of the boot on the leg.
Rest, ice, compression and elevation, known as RICE, serves as one of the most recommended treatments for ankle sprains and strains. Aircasts can help to stabilize the injured tissues or muscles. These casts, which feature a hard case accented by tiny pockets of air close to the skin, can also help reduce swelling and accelerate the healing process for foot injuries.
