What are Depends?

Depends is a name brand of adult disposable diapers and pads designed for people with urinary or fecal incontinence. The brand is manufactured by Kimberly-Clark and was first introduced in 1984.

Depends was originally a unisex undergarment; in 2009, Kimberly-Clark introduced gender-specific garments. As of 2015, Depends offers a variety of products for both men and women, including adjustable underwear, briefs, pads and seat protectors. Each product features an absorbent pad designed to attract wetness away from the skin, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable until the garment is changed. Although the products can withstand multiple wettings, they are designed to be worn once and discarded.
