What is Moroccan oil?

Moroccan oil is argan oil, one of the rarest oils in the world. Made from the fruit of the argan tree, the seeds of the tree are dried, roasted and ground into a thick paste. The oil is hand-squeezed from the paste.
Moroccan oil contains fatty acids, vitamin E, phenols and carotene. The fats in the oil make it a great moisturizer that imparts shine to the hair and reduces dryness. Moroccan oil also moisturizes the skin, but it contains oleic acid, which can cause acne and clog pores. Some research has indicated that Moroccan oil may be a good treatment for the skin condition psoriasis.
