- Soothe razor burn with ice
Apply an ice pack to the affected area to numb the pain. The ice also helps reduce inflammation and swelling.
- Apply hydrocortisone cream
Hydrocortisone cream reduces swelling, redness and itchiness. Apply a topical hydrocortisone cream to the skin where razor bumps are present.
- Shave less often
Excess shaving can cause razor burn or bumps. Shave every two to three days instead of every day. Store your razor outside of the shower to reduce bacteria growth on the blade.
