What are some benefits of the Stop and Shop Gas Rewards program?

The primary benefit of the Stop and Shop Gas Rewards Program is a discount on Shell and Stop and Shop branded gasoline. As of 2015, savings amount to 10 cents off per gallon for every 100 points on the card, up to a maximum of $2.20 off per gallon.

Points are earned at a ratio of 1:1 for every dollar spent on Stop and Shop or Peapod groceries with a Stop and Shop card. Points must be used in increments of 100, and the maximum number of points must be used in a given transaction in order to use them at all. For example, a customer with 300 points does not have the option to use 200 on one transaction and save the rest for later. Points expire 30 days after receipt.
