Bio-Oil is a moisturizing skincare oil. It is used to reduce the appearance of such skin conditions as scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone, and can also be used to diminish wrinkles and treat dry skin.
Bio-Oil contains vitamin A and E, as well as calendula oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil and chamomile oil. However, it also contains potentially harmful ingredients such as liquid paraffin, eugenol, geranoil and BHT. Bio-Oil has been available in the United States since 2002 and can be purchased in most drugstores. It is the best-selling scar and stretch mark product in 18 countries, as of 2014.
