Are bisque appliances a lighter shade than almond appliances?

Bisque is a relatively new appliance shade that is lighter than the typical almond color. When placed side-by-side with the almond shade, bisque looks nearly off-white or pale tan. The color is often mistaken for white unless the appliance is sitting next to a true white model.
If color matching appliances for a kitchen renovation and the choice is bisque, the best move is to buy all the appliances at once to guarantee the shade. If trying to match a new bisque colored appliance with an older one, consider bringing the make, model and serial number of the old appliance to the retail outlet. Most manufacturers embed the color information in one or both numbers.
